Lamborghini launches the Tauri 88 luxury smartphone
Famous premium sports car firm Lamborghini has given its name to a new luxury smartphone. The new device is called the Lamborghini 88 Tauri. It boasts plenty of nice specs that could be shared by the flagship smartphone in your pocket, such as a 5-inch Full HD screen and Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, with some you might not be used to – such as a premium steel and leather finish. Of course it sports a Lamborghini logo too, but so does my electric screwdriver.
Lamborghini Tauri 88 Specifications
- 5-inch Full HD screen
- 3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor
- 3GB of RAM
- 64 GB of storage + microSD card slot
- 20MP main camera and 8MP selfie camera
- 3,200 mAh battery
- Premium steel and leather construction
The Lamborghini Tauri 88 will become available to buy later this month for a reputed US$6000. The smartphone is a strictly limited edition with just 1,947 being produced. That odd number was chosen as it corresponds to Lamborghini founder Tonino Lamborghini’s birth year.
We’ve seen outrageously luxuriant smartphones from premium brands before. Back in October Vertu launched its Aster smartphone with similar core specs, boasting Hasselblad optics, plus a similarly impressive standard of construction from choice materials. The price was around the same region as the newly announced Lamborghini Tauri 88. If you are finding it hard to choose between the devices – why not buy them both?
