Logitech launches Keys-to-Go, updates keyboard range for Apple iPad Air 2

Today Swiss computer accessories maker Logitech has announced both a slender new standalone keyboard for the Apple iPad range and updates to its current lineup to make them compatible with the new iPad Air 2.

Michele Hermann, vice president of mobility at Logitech said about the new accessories; “We have introduced the Logitech Keys-To-Go and updated our existing award-winning lineup of iPad keyboards for the new iPad Air 2 to offer a suite of products that perfectly complement the mobility of the iPad. So, whether you’re a mother or father taking your iPad from the kids to type a quick note, or a traveling executive catching up on email, you can have easy access to typing when you need to say more”.

The new Logitech Keys-to-Go accessory focuses upon providing a thin and light keyboard accessory. It’s just 6.1mm thick and adds only 180g to your backpack. Nevertheless it is said to provide a comfortable and tactile typing experience. It’s durable and water resistant too. The built in battery is said to last for up to three months. Keys-to-Go is compatible with all iPads and available in black, red or teal. The price is around $70.

As well as the above completely new product entry Logitech updated the Logitech Type+ and Logitech Ultrathin for the Apple iPad Air 2. The Type+ is an all-in-one keyboard case. It magnetically attaches to your iPad when in the typing position and automatically knows when it’s in position for typing input. As a case accessory it supports the auto-wake and auto-sleep feature of your iPad. The Logitech Type+ is available in Black, Dark Blue, Bright Red, Bright Green, Electric Blue or Violet for around $100.

The Logitech Ultrathin for iPad Air 2 is another clip on keyboard cover but is this time hewn from a “high-grade aluminium material that perfectly matches the iPad Air 2”. Its battery lasts for up to 2 years and again it uses a magnetic slot for standing your iPad in at “the perfect typing angle”. This aluminium accessory is available in Space Grey or Silver, it costs under $90.

All the above new iPad Air 2 accessories should become available this November in the US and Europe.
