HTC teases M8 Eye, to be launched on 8th October
HTC has teased the latest member of the One (M8) smartphone family, which will be launched on the 8 October. The company posted the hint in the form of a video GIF file on Twitter, following its previous ambiguous invite for the event.
The small clip shows various flickering shots of the top half of a smartphone from different angles, a device which recent rumours have suggested to be an update model called the HTC One (M8) Eye, reportedly featuring a vastly enhanced 13MP camera compared to the one found in HTC’s current One (M8) flagship, reports BGR. The rest of the specs will include a 5.2-inch full HD display, a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 2,400mAh removable battery.

With HTC dubbing the event “Double Exposure”, the camera improvements would fit in with the narrative, along with the already teased GoPro-like RECamera. The camera-centric media event could also see the launch of the Nexus 9 tablet, and the rumoured HTC One M8 Max phablet, according to Trusted Reviews. If we look closely at the teaser, a larger device does appear, but this could also just be the different angles of the same device.
With so much anticipation built up by HTC, we are excited to see what they have to offer at the event tomorrow. We will keep you updated with more information when it’s out in the open and official.
