Avoid being tagged with the Anti Tagging app
Sick and tired of Facebook’s algorithms which automatically tag you in photos? A new app called Anti Tagging can now help you with this as it automatically detects faces in photos and glitches them out, reports the Laughing Squid.
“This app makes your face to not being able tagging. Our faces don’t exist for making book,” Developer Buffer Renaiss Inc. explains in Pigeon English on the app’s product page.
The app is currently available on iOS and could potentially prevent social media screwing up your work and personal life with that drunken photo which you probably don’t even remember being taken. You can prevent Facebook’s evil tagging system from making your private moments public to all by using Anti Tagging to anonymize yourself so no current social system can recognise your face.
Unfortunately, the app will not be able to prevent others from doing this in the future, and it pretty much ruins your photos in the process, but that is the sort of statement it aims to make, and a sacrifice we have face in order to retain our privacy. Or is it just another silly app?
