Acer took a giant pink Selfie-Hat to London Fashion Week
Remember the Selfie Stick and that odd looking iPhone selfie handle? The selfie craze is only getting hotter with several selfie-phones emerging. Now Acer has rushed to join the swarm of odd selfie satisfaction gadgets as it proudly exhibited its Selfie-Hat to London Fashion Week, reports Pocketlint.
Described as a “one-of-a-kind couture” by the Taiwanese company, the giant glittery pink sombrero was created by Acer’s UK division with the help of fashion designer Christian Cowan-Sanluis. The fashion accessory comes with an Acer Iconia A-1 840 tablet integrated, in a case that dangles from the hat. The screen is adjustable and spins 360 degrees in order to take selfies of the wearer from all angles.
Of course, since it’s a tablet, it also means that selfies can be uploaded to social media sites such as Facebook and Instagram instantly. In addition to the giant hat, Acer has introduced a mini case sombrero to pair up with the glitzy ‘wearable’. Acer says that it has already dressed the likes of Lady Gaga, Rita Ora and Leah McFall with the new accessory.
“Whilst slowly moving the screen from left to right, not only does the selfie sombrero help the user finding their best angle, but also how to understand lighting, how various expressions can change your face and ultimately create the perfect social media moment,” Acer stated in a press release.
If you are particularly interested in the gadget, love taking selfies, or just a fashion forward design enthusiast, the Selfie-Hat will be on show at the Christian Cowan-Sanluis fashion presentation at London Fashion Week, starting today. Interested buyers will get to experience the gadget, a consultation from the designer and be able to order one in private.
Pricing has yet been revealed, but we know the wearable technology fashion gadget will come in everyone’s favourite colour variants of pink, pink and/or pink.
