Konnet Care Vision Protective Shield stops blue light from your smartphone or tablet hurting your eyes

A new product from Interworks Unlimited promises to help protect your eyes from various health problems which can be caused by the light emitted from your smartphone or tablet screen.

If you spend any amount of time staring at your tablet you might already have felt some discomfort; dry, eyes, headaches or wrinkles. Actually such blue/UV light watched closely can be even more hazardous – causing cataracts, myopia (near-sightedness), macular degeneration and chloasma.

Well the new Konnet Care Vision Protective Shield might be able to help prevent these eye health nasties and make you feel more comfortable browsing or consuming media on your smart device. This film shield “protects your eyes from 99.99% of ultraviolet (UV) light with new advanced Patent-Pending UV Blue Light Deflection Technology,” we were told in a press release.

The screen shield is as easy to apply as a regular screen protector and made with the “highest transparency available on the market,” so your vivid tablet or smartphone screen still appears at its best. You will also benefit from the standard scratch, drop, and glare protection of other screen protectors on the market.

Coincidentally I have been looking for some kind of UV filter for my wife’s laptop as she goes to sleep at night whilst watching a nightly TV show on its screen – burning her retinas. I’m therefore looking for this kind of filter for a 15.6-inch 16:9 screen.
