Is this iPhone handle accessory worth investing $22,000 in?

Every iPhone owner is apparently missing an important accessory, a handle to make holding it even easier. Well, at least this is what entrepreneur Yonatan Assouline reckons.

The $14 device dubbed Fonhandle is currently the subject of funding on Kickstarter with a target of $22,000. Those of you, who think that it is a lot for literally a handle for your phone, wait until you find out what it can be used for…

First of all, the spatula-like device will bring you an extended handle to reduce the strain from holding your hand all the way up to your ear when receiving and making calls, perfect for those with short arms.

Coming in white, black, clear, pink, green and wood colours, and by wood we are pretty sure he meant some sort of brown, this “multi-useful tool” can give you better angles for those selfies that have proven to be so hard to take with your normal arm/hand combo. Although, you will probably need an app to make the iPhone take a self-timer picture for you (and your friends who aren’t too embarrassed by you) or you would end up having to stand there for quite a while until someone kind enough to press the shutter button comes along.

An even better function for the handle is when you’re at the beach, and want to make a call or watch a video whilst working on your tan – without getting sand on your device. Just stick the handle into the sand and your iPhone will be able to sit mid-air and provide you all the entertainment you need.

Running out of bright ideas and claiming as a feature that the device has “other uses that have yet been discovered”, the project has currently raised around $2,100 of its goal at the time of writing, with 43 days to go. But with previous examples such as The Potato Salad Kickstarter raising $50,000, with what started out as a joke, we won’t be surprised if the Fonhandle does indeed surpass its funding goal.
