Lenovo launches the ThinkPad 10 Windows tablet for business
Today Lenovo has launched the ThinkPad 10 tablet. The firm says that it’s ideally suited for business users so the price is probably not going to be that consumer friendly. It is also constructed from “premium aluminium with Gorilla glass,” while providing a “purposeful lightweight design”. This 10-inch tablet also boasts a full HD 10-inch display, Windows 8.1 64-bit, a digitiser stylus and several docking options.

ThinkPad 10 is engineered for quality you can touch and measure and is designed to adapt to be what you need, when you need it”. It’s also impressive to hear what docking and other accessories Lenovo has available for the ThinkPad 10. The computer maker says that there is both an optional ThinkPad Tablet Dock and USB3.0 docking station. There’s also a ThinkPad 10 Ultrabook full sized keyboard which connects directly or you can use a compact Bluetooth model. As with other recent ThinkPad tablets you can also get a corner flap camera peeking ‘Quickshot Cover’ for this device – handily, opening this flap automatically starts up the camera app.

As this device is aimed at business users it also caters well for the security and management side of computing. Buyers can specify a model with discrete TPM (Trusted Platform Module) encryption safeguards and an integrated Fingerprint Reader.
Lenovo’s ThinkPad 10 will be available from June this year priced at € 473 (VAT excluded), we are told.
